    Dear All

I have got several opportunities to share, support and publish interesting aspects of SENIOR CITIZENS who are the most valued HUMAN RESOURCES and ASSET to the Nation.

On 8th October, 2017 organized the celebrations as a part of INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS 2017 (which was on 1st October)  at Kinnera Welfare  Society at Hyderabad, Telangana, India.  I am mentoring this NGO for better sustainable development.

All these Celebrations were organized under the guidance of Smt. K Naga Chandrika Devi, Founder cum General Secretary cum CEO. Initially, she has given the background / Genesis of the NGO and its Vision & Mission.

The video presentation made during the day has has given the real needs of the group and innovative way the NGO is able to make them happy with better connectivity, sharing and dissemination.

The Chief Guest Shri. M. Jagadesh, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development, Disabled Welfare & Senior Citizens, Government of Telengana, Hyderabad first seen the Home running for Seniors with priority for Women and appreciated the efforts of the Management & Staff. In true scene, this is Home cum Rehabilitation Center.

Later he has highlighted the initiatives of the Government of Telangana and motivated the NGO and other Senior groups from the surrounding communities to come forward and utilize the provisions given directly from his Department and various benefits of  Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad.

He also given example of challenges of Seniors and possible ways of getting better solutions as a way out.

Later felicitated the seniors who are 80+ both individuals and couple. The highlight is the senior most resident of the Home Smt. Sarojinamma, 96 years young lady who still feel proud to be independent. She is the role model in the Home and good singer with several traditional and historical moments. Also facilitated the Staff who are the back bone of this center who make best efforts to make the seniors happy and healthy with clean and nutritious food.

Celebrations came to an end with conclusions and few points to carry home for thinking and to support the Seniors at Family, Community and at other levels.

At the end all the well wishers, participants, volunteers, seniors and other community members have appreciated the efforts and congratulated them for the work done and to move forward with need based future vision of having its own infrastructure.

Certainly, such celebrations will help the children, youth, and others to get connected for sharing the better ways to  respect the SENIOR CITIZENS  who have done significant contribution to the development of their families and communities and finally at the National Level.

With this inspiration and glow in the eyes of the Seniors, will certainly moving forward to work for the happy and healthy living of the Senior Citizens.

Thanks to all the supporter and well wishers who have joined with NGO to make this event more successes and memorable.
