This post is in honour of 80 years old Dr. Sarojini Agrawal(PhD), who runs a home called ‘Manisha Mandir’ for homeless girls in Lucknow and is mother to almost 800 abandoned girls.

She started the home ‘Manisha Mandir’ in the memory of her eight year old daughter Manisha whom she lost in a road accident in 1978. She is not only providing food and shelter to the girls but is also giving love and affection to them like a mother. Many of the girls who were brought up in Manisha Mandir are well settled in life.

She has proved it that if you are determined you can definitely do good things for the welfare of others. I salute Dr. Agrawal for her great work.
