    Recently, Government of India has approved the amendment of PWD ACT 1995 as RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (RPWD ACT) 2016. In this amendment, 7 types of Disabilities approved in PWD ACT 1995 have Bbeen added with more disabilities and identified as 21 disabilities in RPWD ACT 2016. Through this process, several seniors will under this Act. Some of them include: Low Vision; Hearing; Mental Illness; Physical; Acid attack Victims; Parkinson; and other related Neurological Victims. In view of this inclusion, several seniors will get the rights for Care, Rehabilitation, Benefits etc., either directly or through Service Providers. More details of this RPWD ACT 2016 will be added so that Senior Citizens can understand and get benefit. Certainly, it is a good news for Seniors and others working for this group.Recently, made presentation on this RPWD ACT 2016 at State Level Meet. Met several seniors during this meet and assured to continue the process for their Care and Rehabilitation.
