    YogurtWith increase in age, maintenance of good bone health becomes a serious concern among elderly and their family.  If not taken proper care and precaution some serious health issue like Osteoporosis may take place. Osteoporosis is a chronic condition related with reduction in bone strength and an increased risk of bone fracture.

    With better lifestyle and intake of healthy diet this serious issue can be properly taken care. In a recent study done by Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, in collaboration with St James’s Hospital Dublin and co-investigators from Nutrition at Ulster University, Coleraine it was found that  increased yogurt consumption was associated with a higher hip bone density and a significantly reduced risk of osteoporosis in older women and men on the island of Ireland. Based on this study it can be concluded that yogurt consumption is associated with increased bone density and physical activity among senior citizens.     So, if you are concerned about your bone health and physical activity then start taking yogurt in your meals. Fit body and mind are a must for a healthy and active living.
